Welcome, Mr. Stehouwer!

We would like to introduce you to the newest member of our teaching staff – Mr. Trevor Stehouwer!
This is my very first teaching job and I feel very blessed to be starting my career at GCCS. I recently graduated from the Faculty of Education at Wilfred Laurier, where I spent two years practice teaching in the WRDSB school board. Prior to that I graduated from the University of Waterloo, majoring in Spanish with a French minor. I have always loved languages and learning how history and geography have played a part in their formation.
I am excited to be teaching French to the primary and junior divisions this year and am looking forward to sharing my enthusiasm for language as a way to connect with people around the world
I am married with three kids. Kate and I have 3 year old identical twin boys, Ruben (blue) and Noah (grey), and we welcomed Addison to the family back in March at the beginning of the pandemic.
I enjoy a variety of sports; soccer, volleyball, hockey, and basketball, and I am always willing to jump into a board game.
I have already enjoyed meeting many of the students at GCCS and look forward to the year ahead!
